Airliner Turns Back To Change A Lightbulb

A Thomson airliner has turned back an hour into its Manchester to Marrakech journey because the pilot announced to the passengers that a lightbulb needed changing. According to passengers on the flight the pilot announced that there was a technical problem with the aircraft however the passengers were astonished when they discovered that the problem was a bulb that needed replacing.

Technical staff have confirmed that the light in the cockpit that was not working related to the wing flaps and was important in the event that there was an issue with the flaps on the aircraft. According to passengers on the aircraft they were furious when they discovered that just a bulb needed replacing however regulations state that this was important enough to return to Luton Airport which is the base for Thomson jets.
