Greenpeace Activists Climb On Aircraft At Heathrow Airport

Monday 25th February 2008

Two men and two women representing Greenpeace have climbed onto a Boeing 777 aircraft to protest against a third runway plan at Heathrow Airport. The protestors unfurled a huge banner that covered the tailfin of the aircraft with "Climate Emergency - No Third Runway." written on it.

The protestors waited until all the passengers had disembarked their flight before walking across the tarmac at the airport and climbing the stairs onto the aircraft fuselage. The protestors called on Prime Minister Gordon Brown to take action and prevent the expansion of Heathrow Airport.
