Wednesday 13th February 2008North Somerset Council has been continuing its system of cracking down on unauthorised car parking around Bristol Airport. Several potential car park owners have been turned down after applying for the necessary permission to park cars on their sites.
In four years North Somerset Council have closed down 41 airport parking sites and issued 27 enforcement notices. Fines for breach of terms have been issued that have totalled £135,000. Many of these sites undercut established airport parking sites at the airport however they are not regulated in the same way and will not in general provide the same type of service.
