Gatwick Airport To Relax Hand Luggage Rules
Tuesday 12th February 2008If you are travelling from Gatwick Airports north terminal then you will find the hand luggage regulations have now been relaxed following on from many other airports around the UK.
After February the 11th 2008 any passengers that are transferring between flights at the north terminal are permitted to take more than one piece of hand luggage however this is still subject to individual airlines hand luggage restrictions.
The north terminal follows on from the south terminal one month later in permitting more than one piece of hand lugagge. However Gatwick Airport have reminded passengers that "the one bag rule per person continues for all other flights. This rule will be relaxed in the near future when the ongoing construction project to upgrade and expand the security facilities at the airport is completed."
Other restrictions such as lugage size and liquid rules still remain in place. If you are in any doubt as to the luggage you can take we suggest visiting the Gatwick Airport Frequently Asked Questions page for the information you will need.
