Threat Of BA Strikes Loom Over Easter Period
Tuesday 12th February 2008British Airways pilots have voted to back strike action after the launch of a transatlantic subsiduary that will be flying from the continent to the USA which has begun a price war.
BA pilots believe that this action will mean British Airways will cut their salaries and conditions of employment - replacing them with cheaper options. The ballot that is due to take place will occur on February the 20th.
If action does take place it will be the first time that pilots have taken strike action since 1980 although strikes have come close since then.
