Heathrow Sniffer Dog Honoured On Postage Stamp
Thursday 7th February 2008Max, a sniffer dog that used to work at Heathrow Airport hunting forged money is to have a stamp made in his honour for all his crime-busting service.
In total Max has discovered over £4 million worth of forged money at the airport. This success has earned him the nickname 'cashpoint.'
Unfortunately Max has a medical condition that has meant he has now retired and is with a loving new owner however if the new owner ever loses their handbag it will not be for long with Max about! Several other animals working to discover drugs and counterfeit money will also be honoured on other Royal Mail stamps.
