Bristol Airport Accused Of 'Stealth Expansion'
Wednesday 23rd January 2008A campaign group opposed to the expansion of Bristol Airport has accused the airport of trying to expand by 'stealth.'
The Stop Bristol Airport Expansion Group clim that the new plans submitted by the airport for a new £7 million walkway will increase the volume of passengers using the airport. This new walkway will. The new covered walkway is being constructed in order to allow access to aircraft on thw western side of the airport.
Rules have been put in place restricting the airport development however some expansion is permitted without local approval needing to be sought. However the group claim that the new walkway breaks the limits of this agreement and have called for it to be rejected.
