The new covered walkway is being constructed in order to allow access to aircraft on thw western side of the airport.

Rules have been put in place restricting the airport development however some expansion is permitted without local approval needing to be sought. However the group claim that the new walkway breaks the limits of this agreement and have called for it to be rejected.
