BA Pilots To Ballot On Strike Action

British Airways pilots are to ballot for strike action over the company's plans to create a seperate subsidiary in order to commence services between Europe and the United States.

There has been no strike action amongst British Airways pilots since 1980 however they were close to strike action in 1996. If this current threat of action goes ahead then the earliest it may occur is February.
