Manchester Airport Concorde To Be Placed In New 'Super Hangar'
Monday 21st January 2008Any visitors to Manchester Airports Aviation Viewing Park will soon see the Concorde that has been there for the last five years re-located into a new 'super hangar' with visitor centre.
The new £1 million construction is due to be started soon and hopes to attract even more visitors to see the famous supersonic aircraft than the 250,000 that have visited in the last year. On occasions couples have also had weddings onboard the aircraft.
The need for the Concorde to be covered is due to weather conditions that may start to degrade the aircraft and its re-locating to a warm and protected environment will mean it is preserved for many years to come.
