Thousands Stuck At Heathrow After Airliner Crash Landing

Friday 18th January 2008

Thousands of airline passengers have been stranded at Heathrow Airport after the crash landing of a BA Boeing 777 at the airport yesterday lunchtime.

More than 50 flights have been cancelled with a BA spokesperson indicating that this would increase as they day went on.

Any passengers who have not yet left for the airport are being urged to call ahead to check that their flight is still running as the delays look to only get worse. Passengers who have flights delayed or cancelled will be given the opportunity to cancel or re-book flights.

Flights to Luton and Gatwick that were disrupted yesterday look to be now operating as normal however we would still recommend calling ahead to check that your flight is running on time without delay.
