BMI Scraps Route From Inverness To Heathrow
Friday 11th January 2008Airline BMI is to scrap its route between Inverness and Heathrow due to a lack of bookings. They have announced that the last flight will be on the 29th March 2008.
In response to the decision MP Danny Alexander branded the decision as a 'discraceful decision' as the flight was the only route linking the city with London.
The Scottish Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson is attempting to meet with the airline to tout a change in decision based upon the importance of the route for the region.
