Richeys Edinburgh Airport Arrival Is Delayed

Wednesday 9th January 2008

Ex-death row inmate Kenneth Richey must wait to set foot again on Scottish soil for the first time in 21 years. He was due to arrive at Edinburgh Airport today however weather problems in the US have made this impossible.

Richey was placed on death row accused of killing a young toddler in 1986 by setting an appartment on fire. His release follows a partial reversal of his conviction after serving 21 years on death row, he even came within an hour of being executed at one point.

It must be frustrating for Richey to be so close to Scottish soil however it is only a matter of time before his arrival at Edinburg Airport will occur with what promises to be a media frenzy at the airport.
