Illegal Immigrants Try To Walk Through Channel Tunnel

It has been reported that in early January four men who are believed to originate from Afghanistan were found attempting to walk through the Channel Tunnel. The men managed to evade detection on the French side of the tunnel however were spotted by the security cameras and a train driver when they were already part of the way through their journey.

Once detected the men were located and arrested by French Police. Traffic was apparently stopped for three hours as the men were escorted from the tunnel however there was not actually any delay to the operation of the services using the tunnel.
