Security Bosses Aim For Increased Airport Security
Tuesday 8th January 2008Discussions by security bosses about airport protection have uncovered the reality that airport perimeters are far harder to protect than terminal buildings.
The discussions have centred around plans to divert more traffic away from terminal buildings in future to prevent re-occurances of incidents such as the one witnessed at Glasgow Airport in June 2007.
The threat of an attack on the perimeter of an airport is still upmost in the minds of security professionals and they acknowledge that it is very difficult to prevent against this. The discussions have also debated the best camera system to use to increase security. As the discussions continue expect to see security changes around UK airports.
