New Baggage Rules Operating Smoothly
Tuesday 8th January 2008Contrary to fears that the new baggage regulations would cause confusion at airports around the UK the transition has been very smooth. Reports coming from airports around the country indicate that the new rules are working despite the differences between some airports application of them.
The rules permitting only one piece of hand luggage have now been lifted at 22 airports around the country however some still have the regulations in place, most notable of which is Gatwick Airport. Some airlines have also chosen to keep the one bag rule even if operating from an airport that has relaxed the regulations, such as Easyjet.
Compare Airport Parking advises all passengers to call ahead to their airport and airline to ensure they are clear on the regulations before departing for the airport. This will save disruption for yourself and the airport when you get there.
