Glasgow Airport Hero Suffers Brain Haemorrhage
Friday 4th January 2008One of the Glasgow attack heroes who tackled one of the terrorists who crashed into the airport terminal is fighting for his life after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
Stephen Clarkson who collapsed whilst visiting his mother was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. Unfortunately the surgery was not a success and the 41 year old groundsman must now face a second operation.
It appears that Mr. Clarkson suffered a burst aneurysm in his brain and with this blood spills into the brain risking a stroke. An operation is essential to save his life. The operation will probably consist of opening up the skull which itself poses a serious risk of brain damage.
Mr. Clarkson who received a bravery award from Gordon Brown after the terror attack also suffered the death of his partner to cancer in May last year.
