Celebrity Equinox to make UK debut in Southampton

The Celebrity Equinox, awaiting its official departure from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, will visit Southampton and will host the annual Passenger Shipping Association dinner on July 26 as part of its launch celebrations in Southampton.

The ship is the second Solstice class ship in the celebrity fleet and will carry around 1,425 passengers.

The ship will run european cruises from Southampton during the summer before heading to Fort Lauderdale to run Caribbean cruises over the winter, starting in November.

The ship will undertake sea trials and host a number of events before finally entering service on July 31st.
