A New Recruit For Blackpool Airports Air Ambulance

Friday 28th December 2007

Paramedic Mark Watson is flying high, literally! He is the newest member of the North West Air Ambulance based at Blackpool Airport and has already been on the job for a month. The team at North West Air Ambulance already have between them around 75 years medical experience so Mark certainly has the right environment to hone his own skills.

When asked about his new position Mark had the following to say, "I wanted a change in scenery and you don't get much different than from the sky. I decided to split my shifts between ambulances and the air ambulance to get a real feel of what it's like to do both. I love being in the air with the rest of the crew and getting to places which would be impossible if you were on the road."

North West Air Ambulance are appealing for donations to help them buy supplys over the festive period for use in 2008, if anyone would like to donate or somply find out about the service then please visit North West Air Ambulance
