Thursday 21st May 2009
British Airways is extending its routes to the Caribbean with the launch of two twice-a-week services from Gatwick to Montego Bay and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic this winter.
The routes, which begin operation from October 25, will accompany additional flights to current destinations including two more weekly services to St Lucia, an extra weekly service to Barbados and a further two weekly flights to Port of Spain in Trinidad.
Return fares to Montego Bay and to Punta Cana start from £634 and £559 respectively. These fares include taxes, fees and charges.
Lead-in return fares to St Lucia and Barbados start from £553 each and return flights to Port of Spain start from £583.80.
"These new routes and increased frequencies underline our commitment to the Caribbean," said head of sales Richard Tams.
"It's a popular destination with our customers and it's due to demand that we're increasing the number of flights to the region."
Tickets will be on sale from Friday 22 May.
