Blue Air to fly Luton to Bacau

Luton airport is due to gain a link to Romania's Bacau next month as Blue Air expand operations.

The northern Romanian city, situated near the Carpathian Mountains, alongside the Bistrita River, will become the second UK route for Romanian Airline Blue Air after the Stansted to Bucharest flight path.

The service will operate twice weekly, departing from Luton at 23:30 on Mondays and 00:55 on Fridays, arriving in Bacau at 04:45 on Tuesdays and 06:10 on Fridays.

Luton airport airline manager, Simon Harley, said: "We are delighted to announce the arrival of Blue Air at the airport.

"Low fares flying continues to make business and leisure travel increasingly accessible to millions of Europeans and the launch of this service to Bacau provides yet more choice for our passengers."
