Easyjet and Aer Lingus go head to head
Easyjet and Aer Lingus have their sights set on the same three routes in April.
The two carriers will be flying daily from London Gatwick to Munich, Vienna and Zurich.
Easyjet spokesman Andrew McConnell explained: "We have been analysing these new routes for a while, and see this is a great opportunity.
"These new routes fit into our business model by continuing to connect major European cities."
The new Easyjet routes will start April 2, with one-way fares from £29.99.
Aer Lingus flights to Zurich will operate from April 6 while the two other flights to Vienna and Munich will begin on April 20, with fares starting at £24.99 one way.
Seats for the new routes will be on sale today
