Airport Noise Maps Released

Tuesday 18th December 2007

Several maps outlining noise around the 18 airports in the UK have been published.

The maps give detailed examples of noise levels during the day and night at all airports covering the period 2006-2007. The maps have been created to conform with the EU's Environmental Noise Derective.

The maps are used to help draught plans to tackle noise generated by aircraft and airports and also list action that is due to be taken to tackle the problems.
