Emergency landing at Birmingham Airport due to cracked window

BMI Baby flight from Belfast to Birmingham was forced to make an emergency landing after a crack was discovered in one of the side windows.

The Boeing 737-300 was granted an emergency landing at Birmingham International Airport as a precaution to ensure the safety of the 76 passengers and 5 crew members.

BMI Baby said that "Flight WW1022 from Belfast International Airport to Birmingham International Airport declared an emergency landing due to a cracked side window.

“The aircraft landed safely at Birmingham International Airport and at no point were passengers or crew in danger,”

The West Midlands Fire Service was put on alert after the airline informed them of the situation.
