LTE Working For Norwich Airport Flight Resumption
Friday 31st October 2008
The Spanish airline LTE are working towards resuming their flights from Norwich Airport by December 2008.
Earlier this October the airline suspended all flights, however appears to have managed a turnaround by re-starting charter flights from other airports. Speaking about the announcement was Richard Jenner of Norwich Airport who said;
"We are pleased to hear that LTE is back up and running again with charter flights and that all their aircraft are operating. We will be working closely with LTE to ensure that all the requirements for a resumption of scheduled flights from Norwich are fulfilled.
We and LTE both hope that scheduled services will begin again in December and we will keep passengers informed of developments as soon as we hear about them. I am very sorry that passengers in October and November have been affected by this temporary suspension but we will do all we can to ensure a return to normal services to Spain."
The resumption of the flights follows a statement issued by LTE on the 16th of October 2008 in which they commented that all flights would be suspended on a temporary basis from Norwich Airport. This was followed with the suspension of charter operations at other airports the airline operated from.
The airline have now posted on their website a statement confirming the resumption of flights that reads;
"We are pleased to inform that LTE resumes their charter activities form today the 27th October 2008.
Over the next weeks we will be adding flights and it is expected that Internet sales will resume shortly. We apologise for the temporary suspension of service and we are happy that we can now return to normal."
