Budget airline Ryanair has announced six new routes that will be operating from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to European destinations such as Gdansk, Szczecin, Faro, Knock, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands. A seventh route will begin on the 3rd of November and will be operating to Paris Beauvais.

One lucky passenger at the airport was presented with a bottle of champagne to celebrate the launch of the new routes who were on their way to Knock for a short holiday. Commenting on the new routes was Deputy CEO of Peel Airports Group, Neil Pakey who said;

"We’re pleased to announce the seven new routes from JLA with Ryanair to a great range of destinations which will no doubt appeal to many passengers throughout the North West, especially the sunny Canary Islands for some winter sun or a trip to the Pomeranian Princes castle in Szczecin."

Also speaking about the new routes was Ryanair's Marketing Executive Maria Macken who commented;

"We are delighted to introduce these fantastic new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport today. There is a great demand for low cost travel in Liverpool. Why not try out our new winter sunshine destinations to the Canary Islands or maybe pop over to Poland to get that brighter than white smile!"
