East Midlands Airport Wins Two Awards
Monday 20th October 2008East Midlands Airport has achieved two top travel awards that both came in the period of less than a week.
The recent Travel Gazette (TTG) Awards saw the airport named 'Airport of the Year' beating Luton and Birmingham airports. East Midlands Airport then went on to victory in the Travel Bulletin Star Awards scooping the 'Star Regional Airport' award beating airports such as Liverpool John Lennon, Bristol and Birmingham. This ceremony took place on the 15th of September.
The Managing Director of East Midlands Airport, Penny Coates reacted to the news by saying, "We are delighted to have won two prestigious and highly acclaimed awards in less than a week and see this as a reflection of our hard work and dedication."
