Liverpool Airport Staff Head to Kuala Lumpur For World Route Development Forum

Monday 13th October 2008

A Liverpool John Lennon Airport delegation is travelling to Kuala Lumpur accompanied by a Mersey Partnership representative to attend the World Route Development Forum.

The forum which takes place from the 12th to the 14th of October will see hundreds of the worlds airports attend as well as around 300 of the worlds top airlines. The purpose of the forum is to meet airlines and establish any route developments that may be possible.

Robin Tudor, Head of PR for Airport owners, the Peel Airports Group spoke about the forum saying;

"This event can best be described as ‘speed dating' for airports and airlines. If the airlines like what we have to say in our 20 minute sales pitch, then a relationship can be established that can lead to more business in the future. It is a great opportunity to be able to speak face to face with airlines from all over the world in an extremely cost effective way and get the message to them about all the great things happening in the region and how the Airport can help them deliver access for their passengers to and from here."
