London Luton Airport have announced that they are to shortly begin major improvements to their Central Terminal Area that will see the main terminal roundabout, drop off facilities, short term car park and bus set down area all improved and modified.

The airport will be completing this work to enhance the passenger experience at the airport whether you are arriving or departing. The improvement are also hoped to benefit a wider range of people that go about their business at the airport. With 10 million passengers every year the airport is continuing to meet the needs of its passengers to ensure it remains as one of the UK's premier hubs, it is currently the fifth largest airport in the UK.

With the improvements set to enhance the passenger experience when completed naturally the works may cause some disruption around the airport. Passenger are warned that some phases of the work could see localised congestion and we would suggest adding a little time to your journey to ensure you are not caught out by this. Work is expected to continue until Easter 2009.

Updates on the traffic situation can be found on www.londonluton.com and we would advise checking before you begin your journey to avoid any traffic problems that may be apparent at the time.
