London City Airport Is Winner Of ERA Airport Achievement Award

London City Airport last night were awarded the European Regional Airline Associations Airport Achievement Award that is handed out on an annual basis.

Richard Gooding OBE was handed the award at the ERA gala dinner that was held in Manchester. Mr. Gooding commented after receiving the award;

"It is an honour to accept this award that recognises the airport's overall achievement over the past 12 months. It is also 21 years since operations began in 1987. We are committed to continuing to deliver a premium service to passengers as London's favourite airport and supporting London's status as financial capital of the world."

Judging the award was a panel of judges that have been selected due to their experience and knowledge of the aviation industry as a whole and includes senior members of the industry as well as present and former CEO's of European airlines.
