Birmingham Airport Release Passenger Figures For September

The September passenger figures for Birmingham International Airport have been released showing that the airport handled 984,245 passengers in September. Scheduled passenger numbers were 687,139 and charter passengers 297,106. These passengers were from both terminal buildings at the airport. Overall it indicated a rise of 1.5% over the previous years statistics.

Birmingham International Airport’s Business Development Director Peter Vella commented on the figures and said;

"September saw an increase in passengers travelling through the Airport compared against the same month last year, which again re-affirms the reputation of Birmingham Airport as the region’s gateway to the world. With the Airport celebrating its busiest ever month in August and with a number of exciting new routes launching in the coming weeks and months, there has never been a better time for people to fly from their local airport."
