An opposition group opposed to the possibility of a brand new link road being constructed to Cardiff Airport recently met to discuss the proposed plans.

The meeting drew 150 local residents at Pendoylan located in the Vale of Glamorgan with some members travelling from nearby Peterston-super-Ely. After the meeting several members of the group met with Jane Hutt - local AM. Part of the reason for the opposition of the plans for the link road is due to the areas scientific interest as well as being an area of special natural beauty.

A public consultation regarding the new plans began in July. The proposed road would be a carriageway road with single lanes but would be built with climbing lanes to ensure safe overtaking could be achieved.
