Eastern Airways Aircraft In East Midlands Emergency Landing
Tuesday 2nd September 2008
An Eastern Airways Jet Stream aircraft has had to make an emergency landing at East Midlands Airport this morning as crew aboard believed that a fire had broken out.
The flight was operating normally until a light in the cockpit drew the pilots attention to a possible fire in the baggage hold of the aircraft. The flight had originally been scheduled to travel from Stansted to Manchester Airport however had to make the detour to East Midlands Airport to check for a possible fire.
