Zoom Airlines Flights Grounded

The budget carrier Zoom Airlines has conceded that it is facing financial difficulties. The statement was made after two of its aircraft were grounded.
The airline has stated that the conditions for trading have been difficult with 200 passengers unable to fly from Gatwick Airport to Halifax and Ottawa aftee the Zoom Airlines aircraft was refused permission to fly from Gatwick. It has also emerged that another flight by the airline from Calgary to Glasgow was grounded for what possibly were the same reasons.
It has been indicated that discussions are underway with the airport to settle the dispute and allow the airline to continue its flights as soon as possible. There is a scheduled flight to Vancouver with the airline this evening (Thursday) however this is running at a 12 hour delay as there has been a technical problem. The airline has stated that passengers will be diverted via Gatwick to Vancouver.
The airline has been operating for seven years.
