Manchester Airport To Install Number Plate Recognition Cameras

Manchester Airport is to see the installation of number plate recognition cameras that will read approximately 500,000 number plates every day.

In total five cameras will be installed in various locations around the airport area providing an extra level of security that will allow vehicles and individuals to be tracked by airport police. The current problems with the threat of terrorism in the UK will be countered by these cameras and should provide passengers with peace of mind as they travel.
