Some Passengers Continuing To Ignore Baggage Restrictions

Wednesday 6th August 2008

Research from Norwich Airport has indicated that some passengers are continuing to ignore security restrictions by attempting to take gels and pastes aboard aircraft.

Airport staff have indicated some of the banned items that passengers are still trying to take such as baked beans, tomato sauce, peanut butter, chutney and curries as well toiletries including many pastes and gels. In practice officials claim that around 50 items are being confiscated each day despite the regulations being in place for the last two years.

With the summer rush in full swing officials at the airport are asking passengers to be more vigilant about what they take onboard flights to prevent delays for themselves and others.
