Tragic Death Of Father And Son Making Their Way To Manchester Airport

A father and son were tragically killed on Sunday as they made their way to Manchester Airport to catch a flight to America.

Gary Procter, 47 and James Procter, 16 who lived in Wakefield in Yorkshire were travelling in their Fiat Punto that collided with an Audi Quattro at 5.50am on Sunday morning. Catherine Proctor, 44 is currently in hospital suffering from broken ribs and a broken arm. Father and son were both taken to hospital after the accident however their injuries were too severe and doctors were unable to save them.

Imran Hussain, 31 has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and will be appearing before Rochdale Magistrates on Tuesday. He has also been charged with making threats to kill and driving whilst under the influence. The Proctors were to fly to America for a 'once in a lifetime' holiday and now Mrs Proctor will have to come to terms with both the loss of her son and husband.

Family members have been paying tribute to both father and son.
