Luton Airport Stacking Plan To Be Reconsidered

Tuesday 5th August 2008

Stacking plans for aircraft waiting to land at Luton Airport that would see thousands of aircraft stacked in the Huntingdonshire skies look likely to be reconsidered.

NATS have just completed a four month consultation period over the proposal and it has been announced that it will be reviewed. A NATS spokesman has confirmed that the reviewing of the plans does not mean that they will not go ahead.

The proposed stacking system would see aircraft stacking at 7,000 ft. and above with local residents fearing that the noise and disturbance will spoil their way of life in areas such as Juntingdonshire and South Cambridgeshire.
