American Airlines Aircraft Tears Tyres In Emergency Landing

Saturday saw the emergency landing of an American Airlines aircraft bound for Chicago that had to land at Manchester Airport.
The incident was the third in two days that involved aircraft and Chicago flights and in this particular incident the aircraft was forced to land after a hydraulic warning light lit up in the cockpit an hour into the aircrafts flight. The emergency landing that was made was hard and tore the tyres of the aircraft and occured at 2.10pm.
The airliner sat striken at the end of the runway and had to be towed away before resumption of flights could continue and the delay totalled two hours. All 195 passengers were able to leave the aircraft without incident.
