Manchester Airport is located via the M56 at Junction 5. It has a dedicated link road from the motorway; directions to the terminals are well sign-posted from all approach roads.

The M56 is directly linked to the M6 and M60 making it accessible from Cumbria to the north, Birmingham to the south and Leeds from the east.

From local areas take the A34 or A5103, taking about 25 minutes from Manchester city centre.
