Edinburgh Zoo

The largest wildlife attraction in Scotland awaits you. Home to over 1,000 animals and located in a beautiful parkland situated just outside Edinburgh the zoo plays host to a large array of attractions from safaris to play areas. You will also be able to witness many animal-related events during the day.

You will be awed by the range of animals to view including favourites such as Lions, Bushbabys, Camels, Chimpanzees, Eagles, Flamingos, Rhinoceros, Jaguar, Koalas, Polar Bears, Penguins, Tigers, Wolfs and Zebras plus many many more. The whole family will enjoy this day.

Edinburgh Castle

The famous and magnificent Edinburgh Castle is the most well known of Scotlands castles and is only a short drive from the airport. It sits on the edge of an extinct volcano and the views to from it are simply breathtaking. It also plays host to some fine displays and exhibitions including:

The Prisoners of War Exhibition - examines the prisoners of war that were held in the 18th and 19th centuries in the castle.

The Honours of the Kingdom - the story of of Scotland's Crown Jewels saved from Cromwell and now remain as one of the oldest in Europe.

Stone of Destiny - the story of this famous stone taken to Westminster in 1296 and then returned to Scotland some 700 years later.

The OneO'Clock Gun - keep a listen out for this and explore the history of time guns as well as timekeeping.

Plus many more attractions and exhibits, it is an essential visit.

Last tickets sold 45 min before closing.
Child (ages 5 - 15); Concession (60 years and over and the unemployed).
